Ordered list of love.

1. Birthday was a complete success! We went out to the pub with friends for the evening and had lots to drink and eat and great conversation and just so much fun. I was a bit hungover today, but not too badly. I find the most important thing for me is to eat a lot after drinking, so I made the Boy make popcorn once we got home. He's useful that way.

2. Thank you everyone for your good wishes! I have many comments left to answer, but I'll get to them eventually.

3. The amazingkestrelsan concocted Tales of Hal for me and teased me with vague hints about writing an Ash/Frohike/Hal threesome. ♥

4. I've been smiling all day overfor_hal! Some very wonderful friends of mine put it together with fic and art and good wishes and a few other things and you should go check it out! There's Prince of Tennis, Whistle!, South Park, and Kamen Rider Kabuto, and the layout is gorgeous and I just cannot stop smiling. Or flailing. You guys. You make me so happy. ♥

5. I only posted one birthday story of my own this year: Always Let Your Conscience Be Your Guide (InuKai). As usual, I completely underestimated how long it would take to write, but I managed to finish it up in time for Friday morning. This was a fun one even if it did totally wig me, for the same reasons Kaidoh was wigged.

6. I requested and received more South Park DVDs -- seasons 3-5! I ship Butters/Cartman. How about you?

7. OMG SPN! That might be the best episode yet. I wish I'd opened some reviews in tabs to read now.

8. I'm re-reading Gaudy Night, though I'm not quite sure why. I both love and hate that book -- so many of the characters are fascinating, but Wimsey is insufferable (probably because it's from Harriet's POV) and the mystery is a strange and unsatisfying one. However, I've never forgotten the use of the Latin enclitic -ne because of it.

9. PoT OVA 10 & 11 are out! I'm downloading now to watch tomorrow. Torrent files: Ep 10 & Ep 11.
