Wrote a drabble for the [livejournal.com profile] hp100 Fanfic Summary challenge: A Problem of Scale.

We had to pick from a list of lines from story summaries at fictionally. Mine was: Snape discovers that a surprising number of Hogwarts students are very, very gay.

Of course, we all knew that already.

Two bits of a fanfic-ish nature. Answering comments and email tomorrow morning, I promise. Well, unless I have to watch Stargate before work.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Tactics, Jack/Gillette, PG13, written for the [livejournal.com profile] contrelamontre Line of Poetry challenge. (We only got 30 minutes, so this is pretty short.)

Harry Potter: Practical, drabble for the [livejournal.com profile] hp100 OWLs challenge.

And I've got to rec [livejournal.com profile] thistle_chaser's drabble Under Pressure, Weak Links Break. Oh, Goyle!

Share and enjoy.

Three things:

1. Drabble for the [livejournal.com profile] hp100 Pensieve challenge: Like the First Time

2. About that body mod link I posted last night -- I should have been more clear -- it's not real, check the posting date at the bottom of the page. But there are plenty of real squicky body mod links up at this kuo5hin article if that's your thing. I'm looking forward to reading the trepannation info.

3. In regard to Stargate SG-1, I have crossed the Rubicon. I was going to wait until after I watched S3 to jump into fandom, but it's on order and I don't think I can wait.

Don't worry about spoiling me -- I can't expect to jump into the fandom now and participate yet remain a blushing virgin.

So, link me your links, rec me your fics, play me your vids. What lists should I join? What pairings should I ship? What fic should I write?

Are there secret signals I need to learn? Some sort of initiation? Hazing? BNFs I should suck up to?

Hmm, if I go through the story I'm writing and change "Sirius" to "Jack" and "Lucius" to "Heru-ur" and "Remus" to "Daniel" that will work...

Kidding! KIDDING! Still writing HP. I'm as obsessed as ever I was. But I am a woman of many fandoms and there's always room for one more.

Jam, Merry/Pippin, G

Writing the drabble was a reward for working on a larger story I've got cooking.

Why is it that I have a hobby that I have to force myself to do most of the time? I'm working on a fair-sized project (well, for me, anyhow) which I started, in part, to procrastinate on a vid which I started to procrastinate on a larger writing project. And now I want to write little drabbles and such because they are so much easier.

So, I make the rules. "You must write 150 words before you can check your email." "If you finish this scene, you may write a drabble." "If you don't get 1000 words done this weekend, no-one will love you ever again."

Rules help. How do you make yourself write? Or vid or draw or whatever other creative things you do.

And now, to shower. But only if I use the time to plan the next scene in my fic.

Another drabble for the [livejournal.com profile] hp100, this time for the Crossover Week challenge: One Is the Loneliest Number

I promise, I have a much more original idea I plan to do as well.

A quick drabble for the [livejournal.com profile] hp100 Five Senses challenge: Candy.

And some blather.

I'm fannish about a lot of shows/books/movies. I write a lot of fanfic. But only very rarely for Buffy. It just doesn't hit me that way. But on the other hand, it's the only one of those fandoms I ever dream about.

The dreams are usually quite plotty and enjoyable, but last night, after a good part where I was going to try to convince Xander to make out with me because we were bored, I had to kill one of the Slayers in Training because she was being taken over by evil.

Afterwards, sobbing, I tried to explain to someone else that it was one of the SITs that we've known for a long time, who's had lines and everything. And that I'd never killed anyone before, since I was sure I'd remember if I had.

Gah. But now I have a five-day weekend so I'm going to go do fun stuff and not kill anyone at all.

Two drabbles today. One for the [livejournal.com profile] hp100 Dead Letters challenge: Billet-Doux

And the other is Legolas/Gimli, right here behind the cut tag. Possibly it was just an excuse for my new icon.

A new hobbit story for [livejournal.com profile] kormantic, because she asked.

Skaters' Waltz
Merry/Pippin. On ice! PG13.

Plus, I posted yet another drabble to the [livejournal.com profile] hp100: Ocard. They're like popcorn.

Enjoy! Tell me if you did! Or tell me that I suck; either way it's attention.
