Chip the glasses and crack the plates!

I've just opened The Hobbit and been skimming "An Unexpected Party". When Gandalf joins the throng, he says:

Tea! No thank you! A little red wine, I think for me.

And it just occurred to me that that's referenced in the LotR movie when Bilbo offers Gandalf wine and he says, Just tea, thank you.

Or maybe I'm over-thinking this. *g*
