This is the cat that worried the rat that ate the malt that lay in the house that Jack built.
» I had a lot of weird dreams last night, but the best one was a Sesame Street segment starring Bert as a millionaire vampire who fought crime. I think he had a monocle.
» I was in a café downtown and there was a sign on the emergency door: Do not open door after dusk. What do you suppose would happen? A horde of zombies would rush in?
» I bought a bar of chocolate today that was 99% cocoa. I'm a little afraid to try it. Either it will be so bitter as to be inedible or unwrapping it will cause a singularity and all matter will be sucked into it.
» I hear there's new SPN this week. About bloody time. Maybe I should finally make myself an icon.
» Life without caffeine is surprisingly good. There's this whole thing where you wake up in the morning and you actually are awake. Plus I'm committing way less crimes.
» In defiance of the forecast, the sun came out today. I was glad.

EVERYONE who likes dark chocolate tries that. I DID. My brother did. My dad bit into what was left on my brother's desk.
99% is VILE. And dries out your mouth.
I found I could only eat it with a latte on hand.

I went to bed. And now I'm up again because I can't sleep. I think it's the Claritin.

*smiles* of course not! That's when they have there Satanic rituals and sacrifice a thousand lattes to the holy spirit of cocoa.

The sun has been out for weeks here - it's the temps that can't make up their mind.

We've had so much grey and grey and grey that I'm about ready to freak out. Next year, I'm going to make sure I take a vac in late Jan/early Feb.

Or, it might be lovely.
I haven't drunk caffeine for about five years. It's remarkably easy once you get used to it. It also means that a couple of sips of coffee have me higher than a small child on too much sugar. *is a cheap date coffee wise*

Caffeine is a lot more fun when you're not on it regularly. A cup of coffee gives you superpowers!

Good luck on the caffeine. I'm trying a dairy elimination for three weeks to see if perhaps I am still allergic to it.... *winces*

Good luck with the dairy! I would hate to have to give that up -- I think it comprises 80% of my diet right now.

You did ? Out of the body thing ?

So basically he was muppet!Angel. Who really should have had a monocle.
I hear there's new SPN this week. About bloody time. Maybe I should finally make myself an icon.
You know about this week's guest star? I feel you would appreciate the casting.

I know not about this guest star! But I will now look forward to seeing who it is. (Don't tell me -- it will be more fun that way.)
Really, the truth is if I started making SPN icons, they would just all be of Ash.

I cut back little by little. The final jump to nothing came with a few headaches, but life is better now.
Hooray for the sun!
I adore your Bert dream. (:
Re: Hooray for the sun!
The Bert dream might be the best one ever.

With most brands, I tend to prefer around 85%, but there are a few 99% - 100%s out there that I really enjoy.

Awesome. Is Ernie his manservant/feeder? Or is Ernie his cop friend?
I would so love a story like this.
Especially if it was set during Snuffy's invisible phase. I'm sure there's mileage in that!

#6: In defiance of the forecast, the sun came out today. I was glad.
Last Tuesday we had -40s (with wind chill) and today we had temperatures ranging from 8 to 16 Celsius. I'm actually kind of worried.

It seems like there's wacky weather everywhere. We haven't had strange temperatures, though, just grey skies.

99% ? Yay ! Want one !
Gave up coffee a while ago. I feel less jittery this way ...

(Don't worry, btw., I'm not a lurking stalker - just happened to find one of your LJ-entries when googling the Okane ga Nai OVA and recognized your name... so here I am. :P)
Even for fans of bitter chocolate, everything over 85% is getting harsh, mostly because of the consistency, but also the bitterness or blandness. (Or the stuff needs to be awesome quality, like from Coppeneur or other brands that create smooth textures and yumminess even at high percentages).
However, I can highly recommend making hot chocolate with real cocoa powder, and then to add one piece of such strong chocolate, leaving it to melt in the hot goodness. It contains a hell of a lot of caffeine, too, so be aware that it might keep you awake. :D I once drank a huge mug (with several chocoalte pieces added in) and was absolutely wide-awake at 1 AM. >.>
