Have you read Susan R Matthews's sf series (http://www.sff.net/people/susan.scribens/faq-auk.HTM) Exchange of Hostages, Prisoner of Conscience, Hour of Judgment? The central character, Andrej, uses his people's term for his penis: "a fish". A "fishbook" is a book of pictures of men and women copulating.

So, sure... fish is code for sex. ;-)
