I have said loudly and often to anyone who didn't flee fast enough that in SG-1 land (and this could be true elsewhere) an invitation to go fishing with Jack is Jackcode for "You wanna have sex?" He's made the offer to Daniel, Sam, Teal'c Thor (of course) and that strange alien in "The Fifth Man." It should further be noted that Sam refused, Teal'c went but with extreme reluctance, and Thor and alien o'the week didn't respond. Daniel, slut that he is, however, was ready to drag himself out of an infirmary bed after an emergency appendectomy, in order to "go fishing" with Jack. *Nobody* loves to fish that much.

Have you read Susan R Matthews's sf series (http://www.sff.net/people/susan.scribens/faq-auk.HTM) Exchange of Hostages, Prisoner of Conscience, Hour of Judgment? The central character, Andrej, uses his people's term for his penis: "a fish". A "fishbook" is a book of pictures of men and women copulating.

So, sure... fish is code for sex. ;-)

Insomnia does suck, and not in that good way--I just got off a 42 hr bender myself, and while the ideas were not mind-blowing or anything, I did find myself rewatching some season 4 XF and just grinning madly at nothing watching Mulder practically hugging the shit outta Skinner near the end of Unrequited, when we're all supposed to be watching the car where the shooter was--instead, I was watching the guys in the background!

I never saw Mr Rogers but once. He took his shoes off right there on television and I was squicked by that. But there was an educational movie on how straws are made.

I got through the day by caffeinating, which I usually don't do. And soon, soon now I will go to bed and *sleep* this time. And I'll keep an eye out for the hug once we get to S4. Hope you're snoozing too!
