Not beautiful enough. Is it me, or are modern actresses a bit on the plain side?

Narcissa is really beautiful in a cold way. I envision her more as a Garbo or similiar ice queen of the screen

I wouldn't say so, no.

I don't see Narcissa as all that beautiful. Here's her description from GoF:

His mother was blonde too; tall and slim, she would have been nice-looking if she hadn't been wearing a look that suggested there was a nasty smell under her nose.

Granted, everyone in the movies is more attractive than they are in the books. :)

Huh. I thought she was stunning in Gosford Park, and had the right society lady attitude.
