Things are yay!

» I went to bed last night thinking about how much I would enjoy my cup of coffee in the morning. And I did, so very much. The coffee I make at home is the best coffee I get all day, with my $150 burr grinder and my $3 plastic mug-top filter-holder. And cream, lots of cream.

» Speaking of which, big yays for the lactose tolerance mutation because so much of my diet involves dairy these days. Cottage cheese, yogurt, cream, cheese, and milk. I recently upgraded my milk from 2% to homo and I'm so loving that dairy fat.

» We are still in the eyeball gouging bad episodes of Crusade, but there's a certain kind of enjoyment I get from watching it with my sweetie anyhow. I guess it's like bonding under torture or something. In order to survive the last episode, we turned on the French subtitles to give us something to think about while the bad dialogue went on and on and on. My job is to find a drinking game before we watch the next one.

» I haven't had a chance to watch the new PoT OVAs yet so I have that to look forward to. Judging by the reaction on my flist, it should be lots of fun.

» I have a stuffed Lowly Worm.

Dairy fat, as usual

Glad to hear that, about the doctor. I'm crossing all available digits for you.

Aieee, camera phones! Though P. says that these days, it's much harder to find a phone without a camera in it. Almost all of them seem to have one.

You will love Inui, Hal.

I am lactose intolerant. So I am a mutant in the other direction. Although there are those who say we are evolved.

I recently upgraded my milk from 2% to homo

My mind keeps tripping over this statement.

You have gay milk in Canada? Why don't we get it here?

I'm just being silly, of course. I know what it stands for, but I've never seen it shortened here, and milk that still has all the fat in it is usually called whole milk (or just not labeled 2%/1%/skim).

The coffee I make at home is the best coffee I get all day, with my $150 burr grinder and my $3 plastic mug-top filter-holder.

I might just have to divert some of my pay checks to "better coffee at home" fund. My little plastic Mr. Coffee machine can cut it in the dorms, but not when I get a real place. Plus with home much a decent cup of coffee can cost nowadays it's cheaper in the long run. :)

When I was younger I planned to marry Lowly Worm. He was just so cute and so wise.
