I don't usually make posts like this, but I'm driven to extremes. I'm at work and I have nothing to do. It has been days since I had a significant amount of work to do. I'm beaten down by the tedium. My brain is dying. My god, I'm even starting to read the comments on Slashdot.

Please help. Tell me something interesting. Tell me something boring. Ask me a question. Give me an opinion. Tell me your plan to survive avian flu. Complain about me. Sympathise with me. Flame me! Anything to let me know I'm still alive. (Until the avian flu gets me, of course.)

I don't knit. And I'm not sure I'll be able to survive the avian flu. I live in a city with a lot of air traffic from Asia and I take the bus to work. I think the best I can do is set things up so I can work from home if necessary.

D: i saw my fiancee for all of ten minutes, then he had to go. i went around the uni a little, taught a really brief lesson at the dojo (everyone was melting), played with my pinky street dolls and made a fudomine team comprised completely of women. took a pentel pen and christened the dark haired chinky-eyed doll Spotty. she is my tachibana-who-is-a-woman.

if you are still bored (though with all these comments/suggestions I'm sure you're not any more!) may I suggest organising a hat night with some friends? I am going on one tomorrow. Basically we are all going to wear a hat and go drinking. No rules about what kind of hat (stylish, stupid, themed) the only rule is: you must wear a hat and it must be worn at all times.

I am going to survive avian flu by not giving a good goddamn about it. Panic leads to stupidity leads to not surviving. Therefore, if I don't panic, I win. After all, there's nothing I can realistically do not to get it. I'm better off taking care of myself when it does happen. If I don't recover, well, better luck next incarnation. If I do, I get to pick up the pieces and move on, this time with a little immunity.
