Okay, enough of that. I can't quite understand this meme. It's not even like Slam Book Fever! where you get to see what people think of you. What's the attraction in saying something and not having the recipient know it's about them? And how does this meme make you feel when you read it?

In my experience, the result of saying something critical without saying who it's about is twofold:

1) Completely innocent bystanders suspect that you secretly hate them.

2) The person you are actually attempting to criticize NEVER sees themselves in what you're saying. "Yeah, I really hate that too!" they may reply.

This reminds me of a co-worker I had who would come into my cubicle and cluelessly talk to me while I was trying to work. I found a Dilbert cartoon about a guy who came into people's cubicles and cluelessly talked to them while they were trying to work and put it up on the wall. So, he came in and laughed at the cartoon and cluelessly talked to me about it while I was trying to work.

I thought the recursive irony would make the universe implode, but all it did was really irritate me.

The weird thing about this meme is people are mostly being *nice*, saying stuff you could totally tell right to someone. If it were nasty, I would understand the appeal more.
