Boxers and briefs are both North American-type language: pants or underwear is British. (Not to say that British men don't wear boxers/briefs, but they're not generic.)
True enough. :) I shall be sure to research the proper terminology. Though a lot of people seem convinced he's naked under that robe. I think he'd be too cold, poor rundown boy.
