Charlie's Angels: The Bloody Aftermath

So I saw Kill Bill. Hot women and bloody violence -- does it get any better than this? (Well, they showed the RotK trailer, so I guess it does.)

I lack the vocabulary in film to properly describe this movie -- or half a movie, really, but the two hours passed in the blink of an eye. I was horrified, I was enthralled, I was lusting after Chiaki Kuriyama as Go Go Yubari. I am relieved to find out that the actress is legal -- but not by much, so I guess I'm just a dirty old woman after all. But I blame Tarantino for giving her the schoolgirl outfit and the mace.

Also: "Revenge is a dish best served cold. -- old Klingon proverb." The hell? But funny.

Not much plot but a hell of a lot of style. I need the soundtrack, I need to see the movie again, and I need my personal fantasies about Go Go Yubari and O-Ren Ishii. But I guess I have those already. *g*

Go Go Yubari, O-Ren Ishii, & Sofie Fatale = OT3 ?

I loved it too, with the same reactions (including Go Go, though that's not usually my cuppa). It was very spaghetti western meets Japanese anime meets Wile E. Coyote. The way Tarantino narrates, it almost doesn't matter that there's no ending.

The "old Klingon proverb" is quoted as such by Khan in Wrath of Khan, in case you don't remember. It's also an old Arabic/possibly Spanish proverb. *blows a kiss to Ricardo Montalban for his splendid pecs*

I had pretty much the exact same reactions - not much plot, a hell of a lot of style. Horrified, enthralled and all that jazz. Thurman makes a surprisingly believable righteous warrior. As for Go Go and O-Ren... Oh, yeah. *Yeah*. Lucy Liu totally makes me smile.
