Let us all bask in television's warm glowing warming glow.
Drabble for the
hp100 Dreams challenge: Lucidity.
I've got a backlog of things I want to write for people (well, and for me). I really thought that I would get more done over the summer, but my WIP basically sucked all my major writing energy away. Thankfully, it's in the beta stage now so I hope to be able to get to some non-snippet non-timed-challenge writing of other stories soon. With better prose than that last sentence too!
But I'm still doing Monday Night TV! We spent too much time chatting last night, though, and only got through three eps.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Bad Girls
They don't get much better than this. Faith is SO coming on to Buffy in this ep. And Buffy is SO oblivious. But I think my fave part of this ep was watching the introduction of Wesley Wyndam-Pryce. I drove D. crazy because I kept pointing to the screen and saying stuff like, "Look, Wesley and Faith!" "Wesley and Angel!" Nobody has had as much character development as Wesley. Nobody. Also I squeaked when Xander clapped one hand over his eye to stop it twitching. "His eye!"
X-Files: Darkness Falls
Trapped in the woods with KILLER BUGS! I love this ep. Only there should have been more paranoia as more people were killed off. The rain forest was so, so beautiful, all misty and drippy. Scully's hair was lank and it looked very cute. This week, Mulder wasn't coming on to everyone, just Doug Spinney the eco-terrorist. Spinney would say something and you could just see Mulder thinking: wow, he's right about everything! just like me! we should have sex! Mulder holds a gun on Spinney and then lets him leave with the last of the gas. True love. Of course, Spinney is later eaten by KILLER BUGS!
Six Feet Under: The Will
We're a week behind with these -- catch up next week, probably. This show has, I think, my favourite credit sequence ever. It's brilliant. And this ep had Tracy Middendorf! You may remember her from guest spots on such fine TV shows as Angel, X-Files, Millennium, Ally McBeal, The Practice, and many, many more. I think she's hot. And she does good work. And I always forget her name.
Anyhow, about the ep. I wanted to smack Nate. Actually, that's been true for every ep I've seen. (3) Also I don't like Brenda. The thing where they ride the bus at the end was damn weird. I kept thinking of Ghost World.
I have used eleven exclamation points in this post. That's just wrong.

Brenda -- yes, creepy.

I don't want Nate to shave, because then I'd think of him as Casey from Sports Night, and that would break my brain.

You kill me. (: There needs to be a longer story made out of these Muldermusings of yours.
BTW, don't say anything has the best credits ever until you've seen the credits for Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. Man. I love them more every time I see them.

I wonder when I'll get to see Queer Eye. Have you seen 6FU so you can compare?

I could tape some for you. Say the word.
Have you seen 6FU so you can compare?
I haven't, dammit! But P. has Netflix now, so we plan to put it in the queue.

"I'm failing to see your point here, Buff. It must be off to my left side somewhere." *cries for poor Xander*

And still in love with your icon.
