The answers to life's problems aren't at the bottom of a bottle, they're on TV.

It's fall and the TV shows are starting. What are you watching? Got any recs for me?

The returning shows I'm watching are: Angel. And ... well, I think that's it. Everything else I was watching is over. At least until S4 of Trailer Park Boys starts, but I don't know when that will be.

New shows:

Jake 2.0
A geek gets super powers from nanobots. If I can remember to, I'll tune in to check this out, mostly because of what TV Guide had to say about it: Jake 2.0 will develop a fervent fan following and spawn countless Web sites, all of which will turn into online petitions once the show gets canned.

Tru Calling
Eliza. That's why I'll be there. *licks pic in TV Guide* Possibly hoping that the show will tank so they can do a Buffy spin-off instead. (Faith, Wes, Andrew -- that's who I want to see.)

Tarzan
Tarzan in NYC. Why did I decide to tune in again? Oh, right, Mitch Pileggi. But probably he'll only be on sometimes and the show will be stupid and I'll give up on it.

The Brotherhood of Poland, NH
A show about people in a small town. David E. Kelly been good to me in the past.

And you?

I've accepted the fact I don't watch much TV anymore. that said, I'm looking forward to seeing Two and a Half Men. I've never got over my crush on Charlie Sheen, and I like Jon Cryer as well. I hope it's good, else I'll be very embarrassed for them both.

I'll probably watch Joan of Arcadia, as well, at least to find out how disgustingly heart-warming it is or if it'll actually be interesting.

I'm hoping to get back into watching Third Watch, but I tend to lose interest fast even when I like shows, because I never remember when shows are on.

I need TiVo.

"Let them hate me so long as they fear me." Attributed to Tiberius Caesar, at least in I, Claudius. *Why* did Roddenberry name his hero after *that* Caesar?

I am going to check out Joe Pantoliano in The Handler, created by Chris Haddon of Da Vinci's Inquest fame on CBS.

Also, if it actually comes to some channel I can get, I'm going to give HBO's Carnivale a chance. I mean the battle good and evil and circus freaks in 1934 -- who can resist this?

And Tarzan.

Um, lessee...

Angel. With full irony and dubiousness.

West Wing, until it reveals its post-Sorkin disaster (which could be as early as the season premiere) and I give up in disgust.

Smallville, though every week I ask myself "Why?"

Queer Eye, until the snark replaces the compassion and it gets too mean for me, which I'm predicting will happen at some point.

I expect to be down to one show by the time February sweeps roll around. And I'm not picking up anything new unless the pimping fans in question can assure me it won't get cancelled straight away.

Bitter much, Heather?

Hopefully, The Amazing Race 5. It's one of the only reality shows I've ever been able to stomach, so of course I'm an addict. Gotta see if it gets picked up for another season first, though.

Anddd... yeah, that's it. Dude, TV sucks. *pouts over the horrid train wreck that was 'Buffy' 7*

Isn't it great? All credit to [livejournal.com profile] thepsychicclam, who made my crazy HP-Lock Stock connection a reality. :)

Everyone hates me for this, but I love reality TV. Big Brother, Survivor, The Amazing Race, it's all good to me!

Well, Angel is just about the only watchable thing on. I'll watch Enterprise just 'cause I love T'Pol, but sometimes I get bored with it. I've been watching MI5, but it's starting to piss me off. Otherwise, I live on a sporadic diet of DiscoveryHealth, BBC America, the History Channel, and Home and Garden TV.

I'd check out Tru Calling, but it's on Fox, and I have sworn never to watch another new show on their network again after the Firefly debacle. Besides, I want ED to do a Buffy spin-off instead, so I kinds hope Fox kills it after a few eps, as is its wont.
