✩ I clearly fail at digital/analog life balance. I've been getting a lot of reading done, though. Actual lie on the couch, immerse yourself for hours book reading. I'd nearly forgotten how to do that. It's helped me feel a lot more focused.

✩ During the last year, my partner and I have been re-watching Prince of Tennis and we are now so close to the end of the regular series, right at the last ranking matches. (Coming up next: Momo vs Kaidoh!!!) Even though we have all the OVAs after that, I can't help feeling the same melancholy I felt back when I first watched the episodes, sensing the end so near. Whenever we're listening to the OP and the lyric "it's going to be okay" comes up, I think, "It's NOT okay! Give me my show back!" The OVAs are lovely and fine but I miss waiting for the raw each week and then waiting for the translations and subs and that whole feeling of continuity stretched out ahead of me.

✩ I feel the same way about Battlestar Galactica.

✩ Aside from the first six or so episodes, which kestrelsan showed me last fall, I have watched the entirety of Lost in the last two months. Except for tonight's episode, which I will watch tomorrow morning. Turns out I like it.

✩ How are you all feeling about the new Fullmetal Alchemist anime? I'm kind of not allowing myself to have an emotional reaction yet. (Except for the wailing and gnashing of teeth over Roy having a new VA.) I haven't watched any trailers. I haven't read much news. I'm starting to feel a little jittery.

✩ I'm trying a new program of writing for 20 minutes per day, to try to get some fic finished. Which doesn't seem like a lot of time but it's more than zero minutes. So far, I've made two days in a row. :D Now I just need to get a wall calendar and make a red x every day.

✩ I plan to give up dairy products for the month of April as an experiment. Can I survive a whole month without cheese?

Ugh, I just rewatched the last 60 or so episodes of the anime last week and I got the same feeling when we got to the end. I'd forgotten how emotional I got at the end, and all those feelings came up again. And I feel the same way about "It's going to be okay"! I feel thinking about the end of the series and wailing, because Ryoma goes back to the U.S. and the rest of the team graduates and the story ends, and I just feel like it's not okay. :(

Also, I didn't get into PoT until the anime canon was complete and the OVAs were almost finished, but I know that feeling of waiting to see how it would all turn out. I remember that feeling of loss reading Deathly Hallows, because after all that time it was over. I think in some ways I'm glad I got in on PoT late in the game because I'm not sure I would have been able to handle it, LOL.

I adore the dub and by most accounts it was a good one, but then some people are all "YOU MUST HATE VIC MIGNOGNA AS YOU HATE THE DEVIL" so yeah ... and Funimation come down on any "copyright infringement" like a ton of bricks, so it's harder to get hold of the original.

And because I wuv you so much, if I were to draw you, can I keep the alien design or would you rather I came up with something else?

I know! Somebody told me that I'm the BNF of Cheese fandom. :D I'm anticipating getting back onto the cheese in May. But I wanted to get the data on how I was without it.

FMA is one of the best shows, anime or live-action, in any language, that I have ever seen.

Ahh, I did the same with corn. Unfortunetly, it did turn out to be the culprit. I can't imagine what I would do without dairy. Other than cry.

I actually slipped up just the other day and forgot to order my latte with soy. Woe. But I'm trying to figure out if i have developed lactose-intolerance, and I immediately got a stomach ache, so I'm thinking I was right about the trend!

Currently I'm counting down until the end of the month because NEXT month I will be finding out if I have a job or not. (Maybe as soon as next week.) I'll probably stop X-ing days off as soon as I find out, hahaha.

Yeah, I did it because when I was younger milk etc would make my skin break out, not because of health reasons. I've lessened my restrictions, though. So long as I'm moderate about it, it's not an issue.
