2008 Writing Round-Up
Not as many stories as I would have liked in 2008, but considering the first quarter was pretty much a write-off due to medical issues and the second quarter was devoted to a fandom hiatus while getting back to myself, it's not too bad. (Also, a lot of writing time in the last quarter was taken up with fest fics which will appear on next year's list.)
I seem to be back in the swing of things now, so I hope 2009 will see lots more InuKai fic in many fandoms and pairings!
Reunion Tour
FOB/WaT, Pete Wentz/Eiji Wentz.
A tender tale of long lost love. This one probably speaks for itself.
Immovable Object, Irresistible Force
Prince of Tennis, Atobe/Tezuka, R, 3000 words.
Kyuushuu. It's all in Tezuka's head. The Atobe-Tezuka dynamic fascinates me deeply, even though I don't write them very often. This is my favourite of the year, and, I think, my best as well.
Prom Night Is Forever
Prince of Tennis, Various pairings, PG13, 4700 words.
Seigaku tennis prom. More pairings than you can shake a stick at and more crack than a plumber's convention. For my birthday. I fucking love prom stories.
Untitled Thingy
Prince of Tennis, MomoKai, kind of Akutsu/Kaidoh, R.For
shikishi. ♥ It turns out that Akutsu/Kaidoh is pretty hot.A Little Knowledge
Prince of Tennis, Inui/Tezuka, barely R, 6100 words.
Inui experiences some technical difficulties.I actually wrote this in 2007 for
santa_smex but didn't repost it til 2008. My first substantial Inui/Tezuka and I was really happy with it, even though by the end I was secretly shipping Inui/Mary SueShinjo.Hit and Miss
Prince of Tennis, InuKai, 300 words. The word count is small but I worked hard to pare it down for maximum impact.
Untitled InuKai
Prince of Tennis, InuKai, PG.Flexing my writing brain after months of fandom hiatus. Oh my boys.
Mean-Eyed Cat
Prince of Tennis, Momo/Kaidoh, PG13, 1800 words.
Priorities and protein.I've always maintained that there can be no confluence of Prince of Tennis and Johnny Cash, but this is the exception that tests the rule. Every time I heard this song, I thought it would make a great MomoKai story.
Lucky
Prince of Tennis, Inui/Kaidoh, PG13, 1900 words.
Kaidoh is jumpy. It's not always Inui who makes the first move.
Kaidoh, Boys, and Blanket Forts
Prince of Tennis, MomoKai, FujiKai, InuKai, RyoKai, PG.
Four drabbles, four pairings.I kind of needed a blanket fort of my own that day. Writing this was almost as good. ♥
Untitled Drabble
Prince of Tennis Chinese Drama, Guo Guang/Hai Tang [Tezuka/Kaidoh], PGHai Tang loves Daddy. Daddy loves Hai Tang. I love everything about them.
Lift
Prince of Tennis Chinese Drama, Zhen Zhi/Hai Tang [Inui/Kaidoh], 200 words, G.
Hai Tang is special.Written for
disutansu's PIKL Day post. Zhen Zhi's sad, pretty eyes get me every damn time.Moves
Prince of Tennis, MomoKai, PG13, 600 words.
Past, future, karaoke.I wrote most of this on my iPhone during a two hour bus trip. By the end, it was auto-correcting "Kaisoh" to "Kaidoh".

I think Moves is my favourite of the bunch, even though I wish it could have ended more happily. And also that it was longer. I don`t know, something about it just really struck a chord with me and I`ve reread it pretty often since you posted it.
Also, even though I know you swing in the InuKai direction, I`m hoping and hoping for more MomoKai from you in 2009.

Definitely more MomoKai! I love them way too much to not write them.

My most favorite would have to be "Hit and Miss". I love short stories that says twice as much as its word count. ^______^ The feeling was so intense... I bet I'd still wibble so much if I re-read it. :DD
Looking forward to reading more InuKai from you! (^0^)/
