It's the essence of InuKai -- longing, tension, confusion, and subtle sweetness. All the characters are well-drawn, the story is well-paced, the feelings are real. I'm in such a smiling, floaty haze over it, I'll be useless for the rest of the day.

I agree completely. They don't even have to be an OTP for one to enjoy the fic, because it draws you in regardless (although they are one of mine). There was a moment by the court about 1/3 of the way in that just had me wanting them to get together SO BADLY that I was actually toddlerfisting on the couch.

Oh, yes! Though I wasn't impatient for them to get together becauase the anticipation was so delicious.
