Stargate: SG-1
Mostly to say: I'm still watching but I doubt I'll be posting about SG-1 much, under the heading of "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." I guess BSG spoiled me. SG-1 seems caught between trying to be a light space-adventure show and a serious character show and fails at both. It used to hit both quite well. Also, I don't like Mitchell. (I did try.)
I do have one thing to say about Morpheus, though: dinopeptic germ.

*nod* Recently I was talking with another long-term fan and telling her that to me, the old show pretty much ended at the start of season seven, after Homecoming. I could draw it out past that, a bit, even into season eight, but really Homecoming ended it for me. Daniel was back, the universe goes on, things are status quo. The show has been going downhill since season six; that was the last season where we still saw vestiges of the old Showtime version, and once it went to SciFi, that was mostly over with, and all the bad characterization and inconsistent drama-funny-drama-is this supposed to be funny? stuff started. As well as wiping out all the old enemies and characters, etc. Ah well.

But then, I don't mind Mitchell because I unconditionally love Ben Browder, and I can even get over the fact that Vala seems to be there solely for comic relief purposes. It probably also helps that I don't care so much about Sam and thus don't mind that she seems to almost not be there anymore in mind (aka. where has all her brilliance gone?). Furthermore, I firmly believe that Daniel goes home to Jack every night, so all is well in my little SG-1 fanworld! :))
Sorry all you long-time fans got short-changed so badly. I used to watch SG-1 when it first aired, then missed S4-6, and only started again in S7 - which I pretend NEVER happened - then liked S8 okay and S9 muchly. I think I'll always like anything Stargate now as long as it's not as bad as S7, so I'm easy to please!! Condolences, nevertheless.

Oh, I think you'll find Jack and Thor are away on an extended fishing holiday. *g* (They are so my OTP.)
I suppose I might just stop watching, like I did with SGA. But it feels almost mean to do that.
I still have BSG and Doctor Who, so that's something.
