There was a love meme and people said such nice things about me that I got all glowy and uncomfortable. Thank you so much! It was such a great surprise and it really made my day. ♥♥♥

I'm feeling mildly creative tonight so I'll take a leaf from akatonbo's book and say that if you give me a title, I will tell you about the story I would have written for it, if only I were less lazy.

"On The Fringe"

This is more like BL manga than fanfic

Tezuka is a hair stylist working in a fashionable salon. He's good at his job, but his life is rather pedestrian. Then one day a beautiful young man comes into the salon. The owner, taken with him, steers him to her chair, but he demands that Tezuka do his hair. Tezuka is put off by the man's sense of entitlement, but he does his best to style his hair.

Afterwards, the man insists that Tezuka go out to dinner with him. This is, of course, Atobe, a famous model and actor, and he drags Tezuka out clubbing all night, gets him drunk, and, inevitably, takes him home. Et cetera.

Things go from there with the usual misunderstandings and such.

Harry and Ron discover that Fred and George have formed a secret partnership with Draco Malfoy to supply them with certain dodgy ingredients they need for their Weasley's Wizards Wheezes products. In return, they've created a special charm for Draco to help him pull chicks.

Ron is livid and yells at Fred and George. They laugh and lightly hex him. But when Ron and Draco run into each other in the corridor, the effects of the hex and ring combine to ill effect and they end up with their hands stuck together for the next week.

Hijinks ensue.

Oh, very good! That's a comedy, that is. I may take a bunny from it, but I have a couple other things on my plate I want to finish first. :-D

Jin, sitting on a rock, staring out at the ocean, falling into reverie. He sees himself: young, quiet but hopeful. Until his mother sickens, lies weaker day by day, her eyes following him around the room as he does for her, her hand curling around his fingers as he sits with her.

She asks to see the ocean one last time and Jin picks her up, he's still whip-thin and soft, but she is only bone and skin now. If he lets go, the wind will carry her away.

He takes her down to shore and they sit together, the spray in their faces and the rough air in their lungs. She goes out with the tide and Jin bends over her body, pushing his grief so far inside himself that he can feel it, a ball of ice in his belly.

He remembers this all now, and watches the tide as it ebbs away from him.

Then Mugen sits down next to him and belches.
