What do you mean I am the one who would dance on the floor in the round?
Perhaps unadvisedly, I downloaded the first episode of Ouran High Host Club. It is ridiculous love, such a fluffy keeper. It will be filled, I'm sure, with far-fetched scenarios and teasing hints of BL and it will make me smile whenever an episode drops and I won't think about it much in between. I need a few series like that in my life.
I finished up Garo last night. It ended very strongly and even made me cry at one point. And the fight scenes were superb. This show has always had great effects and well-choreographed fights. In the beginning, I wasn't that engaged, because good fighting is not enough to attach me to a show. I was bascially just watching for Kaoru, whom I love with the burning power of a thousand million suns. Kouga, I thought, was just a boring asshole in leather pants and eyeliner. But then Zero appeared on the scene and the episodes got stronger, creepy even, and Kouga started to actually change, little by little. By the end, I liked him a lot. (He's played by Hiroki Konishi, who was Ibu Shinji in Tenimyu.) There was only one flaw in the ending. NO SUGAR! I was waiting and waiting and waiting for Kouga and Kaoru to have a big kiss scene and it just didn't happen. At one point, I almost hit my laptop screen with a pillow.
And why isn't S2 of Honey and Clover here yet? I need more now! And has anyone seen the second special subbed yet? I just have the first one. (Romaiya-senpai!)

In return, I will pimp you Off*Beat, which i bought the first volume of today, and i was completely in love by page three when Tori said "It's Friday, there's a 76% chance mom will be home late."
Also, marks and I will be watching the first Whistle! shortly. Yay shounen!

I'm not sure it's the sort of series that anyone could get actually invested in, but it's really cute. (But then, you know, that's how KKM seemed in the beginning.) The animation is not bad and the character designs are attractive, if fairly generic pretty.

Yay! It's so very charming. I think I'll start it again too, to try to get into the groove so I can get back to the Fuwa fic.

"You want us to what?" Kobayashi made a face and looked back down at the crisp pages of 1001 Shougi Roads to Victory, whose black and white diagrams made a hell of a lot more sense than these freaks. "Absolutely not."
"Come on," Sato begged, failing utterly to imitate Asakawa's winning pout. "Tsukada wants me to come up with drills, and I'm terrible at it, and you'd only have to go long enough to figure out what Kakinoki does! And besides, I've already asked Kazuhiro to go along with you."
"You WHA--"
"Kobagin!" Kazuhiro slammed open the classroom door and bounced in, carrying an armload of black clothing and, ancestors be praised, actually wearing a pair of black pants himself. "The girls in the Drama club said we could borrow this spy stuff!"
"Who do you know in the drama club?" Sato asked, looking like he really didn't want to know.
"I did a whole 6 weeks of drama club!" Kazuhiro grinned. "But those stretchy pants they practice in were itchy and stifled my dramatiku."
"All settled then!" Sato said cheerfully, making his exit as Kazuhiro plucked a squawking Kobayashi's glasses off and dropped a pair of oversized shades in their place.

I was curous about that Honey & Clover extra ep as well...and now there is a second season???!!! I can barely get through the first (the last 12 episodes have been sitting on the hard-drive for DECADES)...H&C and Nana (the manga) make me want to chuck myself out a window, they feel so sad to me. I'm such a sap!

Apparantly, there will be a second season of H&C, but I'm not sure when. You're right, it is so sad, but that's why I love it so. I haven't read Nana, but I've heard good things. I'll def check out the anime when it drops.

Have you checked out the first episodes of Gakuen Heaven or Princess Princess? Those two are the only new ones that seems to have BL...and on the shounen end there is KIBA which seems like the typical Bleach/Naruto stream of anime...*hearts*

See, I love Kaoru above all things and I don't really ship her with Kouga so much as I figure he's not worthy of her, but if she wants him, than she should have him.
But really I think I would be much better for her.
