One fandom, two fandoms, red fandom, blue fandom

Wrote another drabble for the hp100 Sorting Hat challenge: Sorted. (I hope that's not what I called the last one.)

And some things I noticed about X2 the second time around. Or noticed the first time around but forgot to write about.

The opening with the stars and the Patrick Stewart VO made me giggle. "Space..."

Ian McKellen is v. beautiful.

Logan putting his cigar out in the palm of his hand gave me a happy. His winces and groans and the smoke rising from his burning flesh. I wonder if he gets off on pain, since he knows it will all be better in a minute.

Saw Remy's name in Stryker's files, Hank McCoy on TV, and an X-ray of a wing at Alkali Lake. (It's nice to know that there can be secret facilities performing medical atrocities in Canada too. *g*) I didn't see Stan anywhere. Was he in this one?

In the credits, there was a whole section for "Phoenix Effects".

I haven't figured out the significance of the Once and Future King refs. Is Charles Arthur and Erik Merlin?

Being multi-fandom is hard. Right now, my heart is with HP and my brain is with LotR, but it's springtime and X2 is turning my head. And just wait until the Jeremiah tapes and Stargate DVDs arrive...

Oh, I hear that.

XMM is like the steady boyfriend, but I'm burnt out on it, while HP is like the new love, and LotR is the guy I see on the side every few months. (Not to mentioned BtVS/Angel, Firefly and Smallville).

I am apparently a fannish whore.

I feel almost embarrassed to go back to XMM -- I was all hot for a while, then cooled down, and now, with new movie, hot again. So fickle. Like I need to buy flowers and ask to be taken back. *g*

I have the opposite problem. I was the XMM faithful steady for almost three years, and then two months before the sequel I started seriously playing around elsewhere, and can't seem to work up the energy to go back and ask forgiveness. *G*

The Hank and Remy shout outs gave me the intended, momentary happies, but then when I left the theater, I was bitter. All through out production they leaked those fake rumors, and I really got excited thinking about a CGI Beast a la The Hulk. And then there's the Remy issue. I *want* him in the movies badly. I, however, do not want the comicverse Remy/Rogue b.s. It's an internal conflict.

I'm glad there wasn't a CGI Beast a la The Hulk since the Hulk looked about as convincing as Bela wrestling the octopus. Gah, that movie looks terrible. And how can they make a Hulk movie without Rick Jones?

When I really got into comics, Beast was with the Avengers so I always think of him like that, instead of with the X-Men.
