Dear camerado!

liviapenn posted about Antarctica and jood posted about David Duchovny, so I was of course reminded of the X-Files movie.

The scene near the end, Mulder and Scully lying on the ice together as their evidence disappears, Scully cradling Mulder in her arms, has always made me think of this poem by Walt Whitman.

You can't convince me that Scully does not mumble "I see it" at Mulder. Can't convince me. Nope. God I love that movie.

but omg hive mind! Because my first season DVDs just arrived friday, so I have watched the first 8 x-files in the last 48 hours. Mulder's little glasses and his big puppy "Don't you want to go in the caaaaaar?" face! Scully's hair! the $12 wardrobe budget! *loves all over again*

and now i must eat sunflower seeds. and marks and i are still writing Sato/Asakawa just so you know. There also appears to be some Misuki/Tachiki in the making.

TXF -- my first online fandom. Good times, good times. I've been re-watching the series with my friend D and I find I'm much happier about any potential MSR if I think about Mulder and Scully as buddy cops. Which they are.

Scully was so cute in the first few seasons. She would walk around with her mouth half open! I die.

and marks and i are still writing Sato/Asakawa just so you know. There also appears to be some Misuki/Tachiki in the making.

You guys are freaks! Just make sure to post it. :) Sato/Asakawa OTP!

XF remains my greatest love (despite the dirty affair I'm having with The Sentinel right now *L*) and in fact, I watched Je Souhaite tonight (the Genie ep) because I have a friend who has only seen two (well three now) eps ever...I almost made him leave my house at that confession *LOL. But I love bringing new folks to this fine fine fandom!

I think your first fandom is like all the songs you liked in highschool. No matter how long it's been, they still sound just as good.
