As someone who works at at register all day, I'd like to point out that crisp, new bills are a nightmare. They stick to each other like velcro - unless you crumple them up, one at a time, and re-stack them. Which is what I do whenever possible.

Also, I like crumpling things. It's an almost-pervy tactile fetish.
