The special was great fun, but the jury's still out on the Doctor. Time (ha!) will tell.

I really love Harriet Jones, Prime Minister. And I found it hard to believe that the Doctor would make such a black and white call about her final action. It's more complex than that.

Rose was delightful as always and I'm still shipping Jackie/Mickey.

I can't wait for the new season to start. I've really been missing this. And! The preview! Her!


In other news, I will soon catch up with comments and the things I've got open in tabs, but otherwise I think I'll do a bit of a hiatus from LJ this week, while I try to focus on some writing. I kind of feel like fandom is making me crazy right now anyhow.

(If I start posting and commenting anyhow, I'll go back and edit this entry to remove all references to the hiatus. You'll never prove anything!)

I can't wait for the new season to start now! I think the special was hampered a bit because for most of it, there was no Doctor.

I loved the Xmas Special although I do agree about Harriet - that threw me as I like her so much as a character and I loved how maternal and affectionate she was towards Rose. I thought Tennant was outstanding though - I was concerned I wouldn't like his Doctor but I don't have those worries now. He was funny, mean and kind of dark and I liked the rambling stream of consciousness - or as he put it - he's got a gob on him :-). Can't wait til the Spring!

I'm looking forward to seeing more of Tennant's Doctor. I feel like I need an entire episode of him just being the Doctor before I can decide how much I like him.

I loved our CE's Doctor, so was a little leery, but Tennant was terrific, plus young and cute and obviously damaged in a fun way :). Can't wait for the new season! :)

It's so hard for me to let go of CE. But Tennant looks like he'll be good fun.
