If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands.

Two vac days and one stat means I am off work now until Monday morning! I have laid in coffee and single malt and a box of assorted milk chocolate creams. I have two fan projects to complete and two books to read. I have zest and pep and quite a lot of enthusiasm.

I'm a happy camper.

You know, vacation days are better than stats because the value of the day off is enhanced because everyone else is at work. I used to have a job where I worked Saturdays but had Mondays off. And there was a huge psychological benefit to having Mondays off while everyone else was staggering into work like a bunch of undercaffeinated zombies.

Hmm, any suggestions to enhance my time off even further?

--!! I love your icon.

Also, I'd like to expand my suggestion to include [livejournal.com profile] zortified's. Except, don't enact Naruto porn, that's kind of weird-- unless you like it, in which case, shoot, go for it.

Duh. Clearly there should be porn. Reading, writing, watching, enacting. Any or all.

I work Saturdays and have Mondays off. The most fun thing to do is to stay up REALLY REALLY late on Sunday night doing entertaining fannish things in order to have a REALLY REALLY long sleep-in on Monday morning, then read comics in bed.

What this schedule does to my Tuesdays is up for debate.

Enjoy!

I really like soaking in hot water for a little while at the start of any vacation, because it makes every muscle in the body unkink. You release a whole bunch of the work-related tension you've been holding onto, leaving you endorphiny and blissfully relaxed -- a perfect state in which to begin your day(s) off.

I highly recommend seeing a matinee, too. Everyone else is at work, so you'll be one of very few people at the theatre, and hey, the ticket price is cheaper.

Enjoy your holiday, my dear. (:
