I think I've only watched the OVA once. I'll fit it in somewhere in my current re-watch schedule. I can only really recall the bare plot points. I'll be paying more attention to the characterization this time through!

Tezuka and Ryoma are alike in some ways, but I think they are superficial ways: their talent, their silence, their standoffishness. I don't think that their basic personalities are very similar. I think that Tezuka sees something extraordinary within Ryoma, but it's not something he sees within himself.
