A long, long way to run.

Am going through replies to the LJ name post but it's getting late and I have 10 tabs open with [livejournal.com profile] yaoi_daily posts in them. I will continue replying tomorrow.

I always find the stories of how or why people chose their pseuds so interesting. Because we get to name ourselves. There's a lot of power in that.

Actually, I have a name that nobody else knows. Not a single person but myself. It's the name I call myself, when I'm talking to myself. It's the name of me. I can't remember exactly when I started using it -- some time in the last ten years or so. It's a completely normal name, a boring name. But it's mine.

I'm sure this is deeply weird, but I like it. It's friendly. *g*

Bloggage for today:
Bright Lights Film Journal on Attack of the Clones and Slate on Star Wars (all of it) as "the greatest postmodern art film ever". Both worth reading.

If you are a web designer/developer, you should have a look at Alex Robinson's In search of the One True Layout, where he outlines how to achieve -- with CSS -- total layout flexibility, equal height columns, and vertical placement of elements across grids/columns. I read through it today, but haven't had a chance to play. I expect to see some buzz about this on my blogs tomorow -- it looks like amazing work.

And I want to flail around and post some Prince of Tennis love, but I can't think of a topic. Just... *loves on my fandom*

There is a third kind, from which my moniker originates; mine is a random sound. It has no meaning. The backstory was invented after the name. It is by no means the first internet name I've had, but luckily Kiwi400 and Tigerrr16 and unexpectedsparrow didn't stick. ( ;
