Doctor Who: The Long Game

Okay, maybe now I'm starting to ship.

I frickin' loved this episode. I'm glad they ditched Adam. He seemed like a twerp from the get-go. Why the hell would he let perfect strangers from the future put a thing in his brain? (And without Dr Tenma to do the surgery!)

The Jagrafess (sp?) was nicely creepy and the name sounded like something out of Douglas Adams. The effects were really good here. I never even thought about them until just now.

Mostly, though, I think my enthusiasm about this episode is because of Rose and the Doctor. Just to see how much they enjoyed each other's company. They make each other light up.

I think I'm shipping them like I would a buddy slash pair, if that makes any sense. Not for grand romance, but for a relationship so close and right it has to flow out into every dimension. (I really wish I'd been able to approach Mulder and Scully that way.) Not that I want to see them getting it on. Just special moments, like the one in the elevator.

Yes, definitely shipping. Whee!

I loved it too, and I agree with you on the shipping: for me, they're an intant otp, not because they are too hot to handle together, but because there is caring and affection, and love. They don't just protect each other, and do stupid things for each other, they *want* to protect each other, want to care for each other, want to lessen the pain, etc. The want is almost tangible.

I'd love some good fic about how they make each other feel safe.
