Insanely great.
Thanks for all the good wishes, folks. It's been a good day. :)
Cool stuff:
codyne wrote The Joke for me and I made her post it so you all could read it too. It's a lovely Legolas/Gimli snippet and it makes me squishy about them all over again.
kestrelsan wrote an Ode to Hal which made me feel all sentimental and megalomaniacal. *kisses*
People really seemed to like the Starbuck fic. The best part was that everyone used their Starbuck icons when they commented! I wanted to lick them all. Like I said in a comment, I don't know whether I want to have her or be her.
I got Star Trek: TOS Season 1 DVDs! We watched Space Seed! Kirk is so Khan's bitch.
And lo! there was Death Note 54: http://wethefans.net/http/DeathNote/%5BW,tF.%5DDeath_Note_-_054.zip
I am fucking in love with Raito and I want to host his website.
And even more lo! there was NEW SAMURAI CHAMPLOO!!! Episode 18. Get your torrents here.
Finally, I downloaded the Mac 1984 video. If you haven't heard, it's lost footage of Steve Jobs introducing the Macintosh. I watched it with a lump in my throat and one hand on my iMac. The Boy told me he cried when he watched it. There are torrents and direct downloads at the site. Watch it.
My mom got our first Mac in 1985, I think. It was the second model and it just said "Macintosh" on the front. Floppy disks, MacPaint, MacWrite. I played the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Infocom game on it.
And, damn, Steve is cute in the film.

Thanks so much for the link: the SO and I always take great delight in watching SJ celebrate the Mac in each new glorious incarnation, so of course, we had to tune in...and squeal and cheer and reminisce.
:-)
