Request: I want to write some HP fic, but every idea I come up right now with just twists into a long, long story and I already have too many long WIPs. I need a challenge, but contrelamontre just has a laundry list challenge, which I'm not really that fond of. Does someone want to hit me with a contrelamontre-style challenge? That is: no pairings, no specific scenarios, but something that will spark an idea. Also, a time-limit of between 30 and 90 minutes. Ta!

One of my favorite old contrelamontre challenges was the Show-Not-Tell Jealousy Challenge. Write something that conveys the idea of jealousy without ever using the word (or any other related words or phrases). I'd say, 35 minutes.

You know those annoying pieces of spam that show up in your inbox full of random, occasionally interesting words? Find the most recent. Incorporate the first 3-9 words, giving yourself ten minutes per word. In the unlikely event that your spam filters are good enough to get rid of all them let me know and I'll pull them from my latest.

Use the words (hold please while I grab the nearest book to hand) language, emphatic, and mere in a fic about a Transfiguration lesson.
