You know what I love about LJ?

Whenever you get into a new fandom, there's sure to be someone on your flist who got into it last month and someone else who'll get into it next month. *sniff* I love you guys.

And when most of your flist joins fandoms that you haven't you don't feel lost and lonely because sometime in the next year or two you'll cross fandoms again.

I think this is the thing I love most about LJ -- well, that, and the ease of switching fandoms, since all the stuff you need is right here. It's so different from the days when we had to seek out lists in every new fandom, and search all over the place to find archives and such. Now all one has to do is post a request for recs, links, stories, advice, and it all comes flooding in, and the flist starts pimping like crazy. It's a beautiful thing. :)

Exactly! I've found so many new things just by seeing people mention them. And by asking people to pimp me things. I'm always impressed when people can be on LJ and stay monofannish.
