Re: fandom nonsense

This is probably going to be an awkward reply too. :) Thanks for letting me know about this. (Except for the part about reading NC17 when you were too young. That never happens. La la la, I can't hear you.) I hope I'm using my fanfic powers for good and not evil.

I think the first fanfic I ever read was some godawful Star Trek slash. I followed some Geek Link of the Day and there it was. I can't recall any specifics. But then, when I got into the X-Files, I thought -- I bet this fandom has good fanfic. And so it did. And I was pulled in and I've never gotten free.

We've all come a long way in five years, I think. I'm all multi-fandimensional now (even making my way into HP) and I'm certainly writing better. But that first blush of fandom is something you never really recapture and I miss it.

Thanks for including me in your nostalgia. :)
