fandom nonsense

This is going to be an awkward comment, so bear with me while I fangirl for a moment.

We all have those scary moments where suddenly it feels like the past has come full circle and we need to go back in inspect the beginnings of various pieces of out lives. Anyway, I was on the bus today returning from NYC and discussing fandom with a friend, somehow we came to the X-Files and Star Wars which were my two first. It was fun, it was nostalgic. We sang "David Duchovny" by Bree Sharp.

When I came home I realized that the first piece of fanfiction I ever read was written by you. That was five years ago. I was just so young then-- I hadn't even watched that many episodes, I don't even remember how I found your site, and I certainly wasn't old enough to read the NC-17 stuff. But there I was, reading it anyway.

Right. I sort of feel like I need to pay my fandom dues or something--even though I never wrote X-Files fic, and only write HP and some LOTR RPS now, I still started with you. So, I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you so much.
