What have the Romans ever done for us?

In the wake of Passion of the Christ, comes the re-release of Life of Brian!

The Biblical satire will be re-released in Los Angeles, New York and other US cities to mark its 25th anniversary. Adverts will challenge Mel Gibson's blockbuster with the lines "Mel or Monty?", "The Passion or the Python?"

Here's hoping it will be in Canadian theatres too.

I love the Pythons so much. I recently bought Life of Brian on DVD and now I'm wishing they'd re-release the movie in the UK like they are in the US so I can go and see it in the movie theatre again!

Holy Handgreade!

It hasn't been 25 years, has it? Oh sheesh I feel like a geezer.

I'm hereby starting an new meme: things you shouldn't say at a screening of "The Passion of the Christ"

1. When Christ hangs on the cross at Golgotha, wonder loudly "Hey where's the Crack Suicide Squad?"

Next?

2. The rousing sing-a-long chorus of Always look on the Bright side of Life will only be permitted if patrons remain in their seats and refrain from throwing rice and toast at the screen.

In fact - I think we need the whole "Rocky Horror Passion Show" experience.
