Who am I? I am Susan Ivanova, Commander, daughter of Andrei and Sophie Ivanov. I am the right hand of vengeance, and the boot that is going to kick your sorry ass all the way back to Earth, sweetheart. I am death incarnate, and the last living thing that you are ever going to see. God sent me.

You know, I'm only about halfway through season two for the very first time, but your enthusiasm for season four is catching! I can't wait! :-)

*sigh*

Ivanova. Coolest Commander ever.

Yeah, I've been watching on DVD. I don't mind the spoilers because I'm not able to watch as frequently as I'd like (which is why I'm still in season 2! A friend of mine got me into the series, and we've been watching s2 together). I've gotten addicted to TV on DVD in all forms, and I'm glad this is the way I get to first experience B5 - you're right, it's easier to follow the arc and character development this way!

I'm also glad to have found fans, because this is one of the few sci-fi shows I've really been able to get into.

Dude. Tell me about it. TELL me about it.

Now I want MY "trust Ivanova" icon back.

There can always be new beginnings. Even for people like us. -- Ivanova, "Sleeping in Light"

I have never, ever watched an episode of B5.

It's possible I didn't receive the B5 gene when I was endowed with fannishness at birth.

Londo won't hear a word of it!

DUDE. Dude. Try harder. *g*

I swear, start with season three (because you can always go back and why not just jump in when the getting's good?) and watch, like, three episodes in a row. If you're not hooked I'll give you your money back.

Found you through a friend. :)

Just wanted to say I miss the old gal too. There's just something about those "don't mess with me" Russians.

Dear god, is Ivanova hot, especially when she's threatening people.

As addicted as you are to good writing, Des, I am surprised you have never seen this show. The best-written SF on TV - EVER.

Hmmm, maybe I need to sign up for some pimpage time at Escapade - don't have S4 yet, but all I really need is a couple of eps from 2 or 3 - if those don't grab you, nothing will.

Remembering this moment gives me chills. Thank you.

Mmm...Ivanova.

Maybe tonight I make myself an Ivanova icon.

I watched the original movie with friends and fell asleep. And then when visiting friends they watched B5 (something about the shadows? And much angsting between Delinn and the first commander guy?) and I still wasn't impressed. So you are not alone, Destina!

No boom today. Boom tomorrow. There's always a boom tomorrow.

Ivanova=goddess

Is it wrong that my primary association with the luscious and fear-inducing Ivanova will always be her little "how to have sex the human way" mating dance?

Wow, this brought me back. Put me on the "missing her" list. I still feel the Season 5 pain.

Where'd you find the icon?

[identity profile] dejla.livejournal.com 2004-01-19 06:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I miss Ivanova, yes.

I'd have to agree that so far B5 was the best-written sf series on tv, and I think you could compare it with so-called mainstream": West Wing comes to mind.

However, I miss Sinclair as well. I bought season 1. I will buy season 2, and probably 3, but--

It's JMS' series. He could absolutely do anything with that he wanted. I simply wasn't happy with some of the choices he made in season 4, and I can't say that I watched more than one or two episodes of season 5, including the finale.

But, yes, I miss very much waiting eagerly for the next show, to see what he'd done this time.

Sigh.

I just watched this yesterday, too. *sob* Ivanova! I miss you so!

*wakes up*

IVANOVA IS GOD!!!

*blinks*

And Marcus and Neroon and Lennier and Vir are way cool, too.
