Angel

Watched Angel. Liked it.

- Loved the opening! That was a riff on the series premiere, right? It's too late at night to pull the DVDs out.

- Angel was be pretty scary when he took out the wetworks guys. Just squished them, human and all.

- But his hair was scarier.

- Eve must die. Could she have been any more annoying? Any less convincing?

- Wes still seems nicely grim. I can't help being anxious, though.

- Harmony! She'll bring a nice breath of Ally McBeal into the place, i think.

- Some interesting shots. I especially liked the long, angled-down shot of Wes and Fred at the bottom of the staircase. Creepy.

- Knox is so cute. He reminds me of someone, but I can't think of whom.

- What was the poster Fred put up?

- Gunn makes a cool lawyer. He'll be ruthless.

- Lorne better get some good stories this year. Also a boyfriend.

- So if this is now a lawyer show, we could write crossover fic and have James Spader come to town.

- Spike. I'm ready to be convinced.

- Spike. Wonder how the Wesley-Spike dynamic will shake down.

- Spike. What if he gradually stole most of Wesley's screen time but then Eliza's show tanked and there was a midseason replacement spin-off with Faith and Wes and Andrew and everything was right with the world?

- Do you think there are a bunch of Slayers in LA now?

- I still miss Doyle.

A couple of times, he reminded me of Lindsay. Weird, I know.

Fred's poster was the Dixie Chicks.

Joss is showing us his political colors, I think, as though we weren't aware.

:-)

The actor is the same guy who played the vamp in "Conversations With Dead People," the one who psychoanalyzed Buffy in the graveyard.

Spike better not steal Wesley's screen time! Ahhhhhhh!

Gunn ROCKED!

Yeah, as the above poster said, I think Joss was letting fly with some political commentary with the Kennedy/Bush throw-aways and the Dixie Chicks poster.

What if he gradually stole most of Wesley's screen time but then Eliza's show tanked and there was a midseason replacement spin-off with Faith and Wes and Andrew and everything was right with the world?

We need to get our resumes in asap to write this!

Do you think there are a bunch of Slayers in LA now?

There have to be, but will they address this? I don't know.

I'm also really curious about the paradox of what The Gang remembers from the last two years vs what Angel remembers. This is a significant amount of memory to be tampered with, it's bound to lead to major problems.
