Watching this a second time, I think Zhou Zhu is actually telling Long Ma how to defeat the Twist Spin Shot -- and in a carrying voice -- so that Zhou Yu won't use it any more. So, not so much to help his own team but to keep his little brother from hurting himself. Which equals more smothering.
