I don't think you missed anything; it's just my extrapolation of Fuji's non-passionate approach to tennis. He's so, so interesting to me since he's kind of an anomoly in a shounen sports series (even in such an anomolous series as tenipuri). More on this at a later date. :)

I'm not sure exactly why I decided to use "Syusuke" -- I guess the whole story seemed very personal to me. I thought about changing it because I think it probably weirds some people out. But I like it this way.

This pairing needs much more love!
