You know how sometimes you're in a coffee house and you're reading a book and drinking your coffee and then you start to feel really creeped out and you can't figure out why and then you realise that the Twin Peaks theme song is playing?

It shouldn't be allowed.

I see Bob crouching in my bookshop all the time. Freaks me the hell out.

Dude, I love that song! I actually bought the Julee Cruise CD and *all* the songs are like that!

I've never seen Twin Peaks except for that Fire Walk With Me movie. I was... utterly and completely lost. *blinks*

yes. *g* At the massage therapy clinic where I work, we play various cds while massaging. There is one cd I have now hidden -- it's the one with the twin peaks theme, the x-files theme and TUBULAR BELLS!!!! (actually I hid one other cd -- it's 70 minutes of peaceful harbour sounds interrupted occasionally by toots from a terrifying foghorn)

As long as you didn't see Bob or the dancing midget, you're probably safe.

Probably.

I saw a guy where I work who looked exactly like Bob - I freaked out and went to hide. He comes in regularly, but he's since cut his hair. I can't work out if it's a cunning disguise or a relief.

Gah, I feel creeped out by proxy.

I too used to have customer who looked like Bob. He would always, always gravitate to me for help. Eventually, I just started hiding in the back rather than spending the rest of the day freaked out.

I think the main reason I watched it at all was because I was going through a David Bowie phase then. One of these days I'll get around to watching the actual series, I guess. Hrm.

One time before breakfast in the lobby of a moderately fancy hotel in London (where I had arrived the previous night, and which is several time zones away from my home) I had just sat down with a newspaper and that totally happened to me. I was already a little jet-lagged. Angelo Badalamenti did not help.

It's creepy music, no doubt about it.

Bob, no.
The customer? Eventually he stopped coming. The nice thing about working in a college town is a high percentage of annoying customers just move on.

I remember, shortly after Twin Peaks finished airing for the first time in Austria, I got the soundtrack, and once I fell asleep with it on. I woke a couple of hours later, *totally* creeped out (to the music of Audrey's Dance).

I didn't listen to it for quite some time afterward...
