Gosh, wow. The "if Renji and I" -- I have no words! I wish I did, but I just flail. I love your Inui. With Kaidoh or Yanagi or Tezuka, I love him, esp. since you've made me look again at a character I sort of just thought of as a--mad scientist, and you've given him such depth. The pseudocode fic was so lovely.
