One more new anime: Gakuen Heaven

I wasn't going to download Gakuen Heaven, but I sort of went into a coma or something and when I woke up, there the first episode was on my hard drive.

It's based on a BL game and manga of the same name. I haven't seen the game, but I did read a bit of the manga a year or so ago. It was sexy and fun but I wasn't too fussed when I didn't get the rest of it.

Ito Keita receives an acceptance letter to the very prestigious Bell Liberty (BL, get it?) high school, even though he is ordinary in every way. He transfers in the middle of the semester and draws the attention of nearly everybody as they try to figure out what his special secret ability must be.

Pretty boys galore, a bit of intrigue, the promise of some sexual tension and hopefully at least a kiss or two. It seems a little bland, but for one thing. Or rather several things: the voice actors.

Oh my god. This is the real fanservice. The moment I heard Okiayu's voice, I knew I would be watching every single episode of this show. Let's see who we've got, shall we?

Morikawa Toshiyuki. His character is automatically my boyfriend in any series.

I have no idea if this show will be good enough to actually post about beyond this, let alone make icons for. But I will at least be watching, and more importantly, listening.

i downloaded it last night, too. it wasn't great, but it seems like it may shape up into something cute, at least. (the fight scene, just like KKM, was quite terrible! lol. the bishounen are worth it, though... :9)

mousapelli and I just watched it. She's still a little speechless over the twin still at the halfway point, but I'm coherent enough to say I really liked it! Cute and filled with potential fantasy fodder plot ideas.

And it seems we share seiyuu boyfriends, too. Guh, Morikawa.

It's on the "watch for the fanservice" list. I'm past being embarassed about this sort of thing. :) And, like KKM, it may improve!

I think this will be a fun, fun show. The manga was cute and sexy, so I hope the anime will be just as nice.

mousapelli just made me watch this because she was all TWINS TWINS but I find that I'm hung up the most on BL ACADEMY. OH MY GOD I THOUGHT YOU GUYS WERE LYING ABOUT THAT. and then all the seiyuu and that awful fight and that one Eiji-looking kid with vampire teeth! a boarding school (named BL ACADEMY kahslasjksd) where the boys are allowed to do anything. I think I'll like this. XD

Every anime I watch, I wait and hope for the moment I hear Okiayu's voice. :)

Do you really think I would make up something as cheezy as BL Academy? You have no respect for me at all!

I think we'll have to write fanfic for this where they go to class and do homework and don't have affairs with each other because clearly the show isn't going to go there.

Wait. Treize, Mitsui, Scar, and *Tezuka* are all the same VA?? (oh and he's *Ran-chan* fr Kizuna...? O_o) This is why I try to never pay attention to VAs... it makes my head explode. I'm still recovering from watching Eva and hearing Shinji as Yukito fr CCS.

I must admit, the firt thought I had when I heard Okiayu's character's voice I thought "Buchou!!". Aah, Prince of Tennis is going to haunt me for the rest of my life...

I'm kind of surprised you didn't notice before. I find Okiayu's voice so distinctive. At this point in my anime watching career, I don't have problems adjusting to VAs from show to show. Though in this case, the character looked almost exactly like Kuroyanagi from Y!!J so I was half expecting Koyasu Takehito instead.

Hee! PoT was my third show with Okiayu, so by then it was more, "Oh, this guy again! Yay!"
