What the hell just happened? Did Oishi's wrist give out? Did they throw the game somehow? And what's going on with Oishi and Tezuka at the end there? *twitch* *twitch*

I've been saying all along they were going to lose, due the dramatic necessity of Atobe vs Ryoma, but I'm still upset. :(

Eiji just didn't let Oishi hit it and Fuji with his super sixth sense believe it's because he sensed Oishi's wrist would give out.

A friend of mine taught me a professional wrestling term that describes the GP's function in tournaments exactly: they 'job'. Someone who 'jobs' is a person who allows themselves to be hyped up as a giant badass before going into matches they are scripted to lose, solely to make the guy they lose to look like even more of a badass by comparisson. Think Renji in Bleach- if he's such hot stuff, then why can everyone under God's green give him a kickin'? 'Cause he exists to job, that's why.

Argh, I wish I knew what they were saying on that page with Shishido, Atobe, and Ootori . . .

And I really wonder what was the logic of bringing Golden Pair back, and all the hype about Golden Pair becoming . . . golden, only to have them lose.

But, uh, this makes Silver Pair undefeated? They've got quite a track record against Seigaku now. (But this means that Atobe will definately lose, because of the Hero Clause that Ryouma must not lose. Heh, I can't wait to see the wank on that.)

Yeah, I just don't even try to figure it out anymore. It may turn out that Konomi has some great play and the GP will play later and win, but it may also turn out that Konomi is just having LSD flashbacks.
