There's nothing more cheering than starting my day watching two lascivious fifteen-year-old boys, voiced by Minagawa Junko and Paku Romi, fight over pretty girls. (He is my Master, btw. I'm not sure I would recommend it, exactly, but it's fun and it's been a great Minajun fix. Paku Romi doesn't show up until fairly late in the series.)

What is it about these anime boys with the sexy-voiced adult woman VAs? I can't figure out whether or not it's creepy for me to perv over them. I suppose it's just another version of the "adult women dressed as boys" kink, but aural instead of visual. Either way, the "real" componant is a woman and the "costume" is a boy.

Please tell me I'm not alone. If you do, you can download these two versions of Aozora no Present (7 MB YSI), one sung by Minagawa and one by Paku. Well, you can download them anyhow, even if you tell me I'm an irredeemable deviant.

Oh, man, tell me about it! I can't count the number of times I've thought "MAN I LOVE HIS CUTE LITTLE VOCALS" and then it turned out to be an older woman deepening her voice -- and sometimes not. (See: the girly anime boys.)

*sorts* Sweetie, anyone who's going to think you're a deviant probably already does. Why should this be any creepier than tossing a twelve year old boy into the bed of a fifteen year old boy who is in an unequal power-relationship with him?

I would note that a woman lowering her voice to play a boy is more likely to have a husky delivery, and husky tends to hit the sex-response. Personally, I find /all/ voices that hit that husky/lilting/drawling register sexy, male or female. But the women tend to hit it harder, if they get there.

... now, if this show had Ogata Megumi in it, too, my fangasms of sexy-joy would be complete.

Downloaded, because you are most certainly not alone; Minagawa Junko's voice is all degrees of attractive. I'm less fond of her later songs because she seems to be doing all this emotion-laden voice-breaking stuff that seems, to me, a little whiny; my cup ot fea is more along the lines of Ryoma's RISING. But still, still.

Oh, true, and I do tend to enjoy voices with that quality. But here's the knowledge of the gender difference that really does it for me, not just the voice.
