The best product ever, or at least I think so today.

You know how you get those cramps and so you have to take Advil and curl up with a heating pad or a hot water bottle and a box of chocolates and DVDs of Pride and Prejudice only sometimes you have to go to work instead?

Well, I still haven't figured out how to watch Pride and Prejudice at my desk and keep my job. But now the heating problem is solved. Playtex makes a little dohicky called Heat Therapy. It's a disposable adhesive patch that you stick to the outside of your underwear and it provides soothing heat throughout the day. The package says it lasts up to 12 hours. I've had this one on for close to ten and it's still warm. It so worked for me. And the psychological benefit was also significant.

It's about fucking time.

Of course, you might have had these in the US for a decade now and they're just now appearing in Canada. It wouldn't be the first time.

they showed up maybe a year or so ago, iirc. not a decade, for sure.

you can also find wraparound ones for back pain. those are SWANK, too.

Sadly... yes. But I don't get cramps (instead, I get unbearably bad digestive problems. I would so trade for cramps, which can be solved with Advil, whereas I just have to suffer through what feels like food poisoning.) But I know people who love them.

I have never heard of such a product, but my god. Yes.

Now they just need to make a product that simulates the feel of friendly, loving cat on your sore spots. I'm not even a cat *person*, but [livejournal.com profile] buggery's kitty Tara gives the best damned cramp massage EVER.

Those things have been around forever in Japan...I didn't know they were selling them in the U.S. They are the greatest for chills as well as cramps. ^_^

OMG, that is the coolest thing ever!

I have never seen these, thanks for the heads up! There's a series of yoga poses that helps my worst cramps, but unfortunately they only work if I convince myself to get out of bed.

Oh, that is the best idea ever. Must find one.

We've had them in the US for a year or two. They're great.

We've had them for a few years in the U.S., and they are definitely the best thing ever. They help more than naproxen, more than evening primrose oil, more than alcohol - that's good stuff there.

Thermacare. They're fantastic.

Theoretically I'm not, though I can't seem to resist skimming now and then....

Ha! My spies have infiltrated your filter organization and have already reported back to me.
